26 Oct News | Comments

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Gold ended a roller-coaster Tuesday a tad lower, unable to make much headway amid dollar strength. Gold for December delivery settled off 30 cents to $1,338.60 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Most metals, however, posted gains on the day, with silver for December delivery adding 29 cents, or 1.2%, to $23.83 an ounce.
